It’s the last Saturday before Christmas, and I decided to play tourist. I took the train into the city to see what this city has to offer during the festive season.
First stop: The QVB.
Next stop: The Christmas tree in Martin Place. Other than the tree, there wasn’t much else to celebrate the season.
On the way to my final stop, I found a little lane, where there were all these bird cages suspended above the ground:
Final stop: The Rocks / Circular Quay:
I had a chicken chorizo roll with coleslaw and chimichurri sauce. Tasty but messy!
The Carnival Spirit was docked at the Overseas Passenger Terminal:
And people were getting married (so much for shooting the B & G at magic hour- it was 2pm, and the sun was directly over head):
And there was even a water polo match in the harbour.
And this has become a Christmas tradition for me- a gingerbread latte (with just a dollop of cream). Too bad I have to go into the city (please open more Starbucks!)
Wishing you guys a very Merry Christmas! Catch you soon…
