Nobody can control the weather- and because weddings are planned months in advance, there is no way to know whether it will rain on your special day. And you can’t postpone a wedding. Bad weather can often be very stressful for the bride and groom, but here are a few tips that will make it less so:
- Back-up plan: This applies to both the ceremony & reception venues, as well as couple & family shoots. Have a think about what you will do in the worst case scenario- continuous heavy downpour
- Timeline flexibility: If there is enough leeway on your timeline, there maybe time to juggle things around if the bad weather is short-lived
- Go with the flow: Just because it’s overcast or rainy, it doesn’t mean the photos will stink! In fact, some amazing shots can be taken when the sky is dramatic. It all comes down to how daring you guys are, and how wet (or muddy) you’re prepared to get!
