Getting a nice picture of your family, or just the kids, especially with you in it, can be next to impossible. Kids don’t co-operate, they don’t want to be in photos, and sometimes, they’re just in a downright bad mood. As family portrait photographers, it is our job to get great images, even given those “excuses” as to why it’s so hard to do just that. We are paid to document life, and we must be at our best to get the shot, no matter what the circumstances. Some kids don’t want to pose, and that’s OK. Great images of them “doing their thing” are better (and usually more memorable for the parents) than the stiff, “I don’t want to look at the camera” grumpy photo.
Luckily for us, Mags and her family were not only beautiful, but totally photogenic! And the day at the beach was perfect too. Here are some of the images we captured on the day. We got so many great pictures that it was hard to pick our favourites!
We absolutely loved photographing these guys, and hopefully we get to do it again soon.
Happy photographing, and remember: Find what you love to do, and do it as often as you possibly can!
